News from MSS

In terms of student achievements, MSS has continued our fine traditions in winning various

awards in the English Speech Festival, Drama Festival, Debating and Writing Competitions. In Music, we have received awards for our choirs and various solo and group competitions. Our choir girls will also be joining the St. Margaret Church Centenary Celebration Musical in July at the City Hall, but this time in a dance performance during the Musical. Our Dance Team also achieved excellent results in the Contemporary, Chinese and Street Dance in the Schools Dance Festival this year.

In addition, our students are very much engaged with the latest technological developments and this year we have won quite a number of awards in STEAM. We have sent a team of three girls who had won the Do your :bit Challenge to join the globally renowned UK Bett Show in January. As the only all-girls team in the Formula One in School competition, our girls came first in the First Round and will be representing Hong Kong to join the World Finals in Singapore this September.

Senior Choir Wins the Chinese Church Music Choir Category

In March, our Senior Choir participated in the 77th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival,

achieving remarkable success by winning the championship in the Chinese Church Music

Choir category with a spirited performance of "Psalm 150." May God be the glory!

Following this achievement, our students were honored to perform at the Prize Winners’

concert of sacred music on May 9 at St. John Cathedral Church, connecting with other

esteemed winning teams.

This learning journey required unwavering dedication, perseverance, and discipline from our students, along with a shared passion for music. Reflecting on this journey, students

recognized their musical talents as a precious gift from God, fostering joy and unity. They are grateful for the opportunity to shine for Him, using their voices to praise Him and uplift others through music.
