Message from the President of MSSAA
Dear Fellow Alumnae,
Greetings to you all!
M.S.S. Alumnae Association (“MSSAA”) hosted a successful “MSS 95th Anniversary Home-Coming” event on 22nd October 2022. Due to the pandemic, this is the only event held to celebrate the 95th Anniversary of M.S.S. We are very happy to see many former principals and teachers participating in this event, they included Mrs. Nancy Wong, Ms. Veronica Ma, Mrs. Catherine Li, Mr. Peter Wong, Mrs. Ali Fung, Ms. Vivian Yau, Mrs. Jane Chan, Ms. Bonnie Lau from MSS, Mrs. Regina Lam, Mrs. Alice Wong, Mrs. Molly Lim, Ms. Candy Chan from MPS etc.
With the ease of epidemic and social distancing, MSSAA resumed its annual Christmas Luncheon on 10th December 2022 in the M.P.S. School Hall, attended by nearly 100 alumnae and their families. On 1st March 2023, MSSAA hosted the Welcome S6 Lunch in the M.S.S. Auditorium. We are delighted to have Ms. Jennifer Chan of Class 2000 to be the guest of honor. Jennifer shared her life experiences and career path of joining a multinational company. Four alumnae – Pauline Tsang, Jennifer Chan, Jennie Wei and Melissa Wong joined the MSS Sports Day in the Walking Relay Competition on 14th March 2023, and they won the championship in the competition with teachers, students and parents.
Other activities attended include: the Joint-Association (MSSAA, MCSFSA, WYKPSA and WYHKPSA) Happy Hour Drinking Event on 3rd May 2023 at the Pottinger in Central, Marymount Professionals 4th Anniversary Celebration on 6th May 2023 in M.S.S. Auditorium, M.S.S. Fun Fair on 7th and 8th July 2023 and M.P.S. P1 Registration on 8th July 2023.
On 29th June 2023, the School Supervisor, Dr. Eadaoin Hui announced the appointment of Mr. Kyle Chan as our School Principal with effect from 1st September 2023. Mr. Chan has been teaching in M.S.S. since 1995, and is known to most alumnae. I would like to express our sincere congratulations to Mr. Chan and look forward to our future cooperation. My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Daphne Ho for her care and support to me and MSSAA over the years and wish her All the Best and Success in the future!
Over the next few months, we plan to organize different events for different generations of graduates, stay tuned and check us out on Facebook and Instagram!

MSS 95th Anniversary Home-coming (22nd October 2022)
Alumnae and their families, students, and friends of the MSS Community gathered at MSS to celebrate the 95th Anniversary of MSS at the MSS Home-coming. Aside from the performances by the school and alumnae choir, other programmes and exhibits such as the school tour, the history gallery at the St. Ignatius Room and the photo rooms were very popular.
MSSAA Christmas Lunch (10th December 2022)
After a gap of 3 years, the MSSAA Christmas Lunch was resumed this year and was held on Saturday 10th December 2022 at the MPS School Hall.
Alumni Manager Election (11th December 2022)
The MPS and MSS Sub-Committees of the Alumnae Association have notified the MPS and MSS Incorporated Management Committees of the names of the elected MPS and MSS Alumni Manager respectively. Please note that a manager of any category acts in her personal capacity for the interests and benefits of the students of the school. The current term of office of the elected Alumni Manager is two school years until 31st August 2024.
Results of the MPS and MSS Alumni Manager Election
The MPS and MSS Alumni Manager elections were held on 11th December 2022. Amy Yung was elected as the MPS Alumni Manager and Maggie Chiu was elected as the MSS Alumni Manager.
Congratulations to Amy and Maggie.
Welcome S6 Lunch (1st March 2023)
MSSAA hosted the Welcome S6 Lunch for the S6 students to welcome them into the MSSAA community. At the lunch, the Guest of Honour, Ms. Jennifer Chan offered very good insights to the graduates. The S6 students also had the opportunity to interact and chat with other alumnae at the lunch.
MSS Sports Day (14th March 2023)
Congratulations to the MSSAA Relay Team comprising of Jennifer Chan, Pauline Tsang, Jennie Wei and Melissa Wong, who were the Champion at the Walking Relay Competition at the MSS Sports Day.
Wine Down Wednesday – Joint Association Happy Hour (5th May 2023)
HUSO in Central was packed with alumnae from MSS, Maryknoll Convent School, Wan Yan College Hong Kong and Wah Yan College Kowloon at the Joint Association Happy Hour, the first joint association social event after Covid. We were very encouraged by the overwhelming turnout. Please stay tuned for other social events later this year.
Marymount Professionals 4th Anniversary (6th May 2023)
The Marymount Professionals 4th Anniversary All Chapters’ Event was held on 6th May 2023 at MSS Auditorium. More than 100 Marymount Professionals members, alumnae and guests attended the event. Asha Sharma, Co-founder of Marymount Professionals, was very pleased to announce 2 new chapters – New Media & Technology and Homemaker, and more chapters to be established. A very inspiring speech was delivered by Dr. Elisabeth Wong, Guest of Honour. A group discussion was carried out by the participants with some very interesting sharing.
MSS Fun Fair (7th & 8th Jul 2023)
MSS was filled with students, parents, alumnae, their friends and families who enjoyed the fun-filled ambience, the games and the souvenirs prepared by the MSSAA and the students. We are most grateful to MSS for sponsoring a $100 games coupon for all alumnae attending. See you at the MSS Fun Fair next year.
